Growing up...

Hope is getting bigger all the time. She just had her 6 month checkup last week and weighed in at 16 1/2 lbs and was 26 in! She has also been developing motor skills. She can do an amazing army crawl with her legs and arms, but has yet to actually crawl on her hands and knees (though she's tried about every day). Curiosity should be part of her name. If there is something to be seen, she is trying to see it. Just last week she started pulling herself up to standing on the bookshelf to see the box and what was in it on the bottom shelf. Now, she is becoming a pro at it, but still hasn't learned to avoid the clothes baskets. Monday she started clicking her tongue and experimenting with "d" and woke up Tuesday saying "dadadadadah". Sometimes I feel like she is trying to sing with us or actually tell me something as she talks in her own language.

Courage is also growing! He just celebrated his 3rd birthday a few weeks ago. Thankfully, he pretty much potty trained himself (with a little incentive/ encouragement from Grandmama). He is usually pretty easy going and is learning new things all the time. His favorite things to do are to paint, draw, do anything artsy, and be outside going on a walk or playing.

Can't leave Jarom out. He is so smart! We've started homeschool (more about that another time) and he is working on kindergarten and first grade work. Our goal is for him to learn to read by January. He is also learning American Sign Language and can fingerspell his name. And another great jump in his motor skills is that he is writing letters and drawing pictures (he has never really liked coloring). On Sunday he even wrote Hope's name without help and spelled it correctly. It was quite a surprise for me to see he had written it by himself.

Matt and I are busy with our kiddos growing up and school for all of us.
